Crane Operator Physical Examination

Physical Qualification and Examination of Crane Operators:  






Physical examination and review of medical history and qualification standards for any condition or disease likely to interfere with operation of a crane/digger derrick.
Examination performed by licensed medical doctor following standards as per the National Commission For the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).

Ensure that crane operator is not using any over the counter substances including ethanol which would impair operator's ability to safely operate a crane/ digger derrick.  Includes illegal drugs, controlled substances even in trace amounts, look alike drugs and designer drugs.  Narcotics, depressants, stimulants or hallucinogens also included except when prescribed by a licensed medical practitioner who is familiar with the operator's medical history and all assigned duties and has advised the operator that use of such substances will not adversely affect his or her ability to operate a crane/ digger derrick.  A waiver from treating physician will be obtained and the licensed medical practitioner will review to decide to accept or not.  Complete physical examination performed.  If indicated in certain operators or applicants, additional testing such as EKG, radiography and laboratory blood work may be requested.  Full panel Drug and Alcohol Testing and Evidential Breath Alcohol Test (EBT) also  performed.  Call 718-701-5949 for your appointment.
